Snapshots in Time.

Life's busy. Kids are busy, days are busy, we're busy. It's all busy. And in that busy-ness it's hard to remember to stop, look around, and really enjoy what your life's all about. It's about those quick moments in time when you look up from what you're doing and think to yourself, 'that's beautiful', or 'man, I love that'. It's the times when for a quick second you were able to breathe and just reflect on whatever it was that was happening in that exact moment in time. I've come to believe that in moments like this, when I look up, or glance and notice a moment of pure beauty happening that I should wholly live these moments. To really savor the moments when you see a little clearer what life's all about.

As a photographer I can't help but feel the need to capture them. To forever record those moments to digital film and ensure that my memory keeps these moments preserved for all time. I can't always keep my big ol' camera with me at all times, but my phone I always have with me. I've mentioned before the love/hate relationship I have with my iPhone, but it's redeeming quality is it's camera. So here are my little moments in time from this week. Just a few moments when I thought, "This. This is my existence."

Henry getting all ready for bed. He's all big, brushing his own teeth after giving himself a shower (nearly on his own). He's like a tender mix of sweet clean baby and big independent kid. It tugs at my heart to see him so biglittle.

And when they sleep they're angels. I was once told by a friend that she loves to sneak in and look at her kids sleeping because you can always see the same face you once saw when they were babies while they sleep. I believe this to be true. Jack, my sweet baby, Jack.

Abigail is a spoiled little princess. I've created it I'll admit, but I love her girly ways so much. Here she shows off a quick little at home manicure she got. Her toes match too, of course.

Jack watches Casey working in the backyard like a puppy dying to get out. He always wants to see what we're up to during the day. He checks in with me in the kitchen, or Casey in his office. He's a curious kid, but when someone's outside it's the ultimate for him. He's been known to pull a chair up to the slider and watch whatever it is going on out there that he can't go out and take part in. I love this about him and think it's absolutely adorable.

The days may go by quickly, but thankfully with my camera (or stupid iPhone) in hand I can forever go back in time.

These are such sweet pics. I love my iphone camera for that same reason! I so wish there was a slow down button you could push on our kids... that'd be nice ha?

Your kids are beyond adorable! I think it's true about the baby/sleep thing too. Even though Cayden isn't old yet, he has changed so much but when he's asleep he's still my baby boy! Xo
